Program Overview
ICDC College's Medical Assistant Diploma program trains students to work alongside doctors and nurses in providing essential medical services to children, adults and the elderly. Students receive in-depth training in medical terminology, patient interviewing, scheduling, recording medical history, and preparing patients for medical examinations. Medical students are trained as health care professionals to provide patient care and wellness, diagnostic test procedures, emergency and acute illness care.
Within this program, students will develop a working knowledge of topics relevant to the medical office environment, including records management, medical billing and coding, anatomy, physiology, laboratory and testing procedures, and minor surgical procedures.
At the completion of the program, Medical Assistant graduates may pursue a variety of employment opportunities including:
